The Croatian Community of Family Accommodation Associations (HZUOS) is a voluntary and free association of duly registered citizen associations who accept this association as their umbrella organization, with rights and obligations defined by the association's statute.
HZUOS represents the interests of its members at all levels of tourism activities, including defining common service standards within the legal framework and actively involving hosts in tourism promotion.
HZUOS organizes joint marketing initiatives for its members in the market, devises and prepares common promotional materials, works on increasing profitability, organizes professional gatherings, and provides education and training for hosts in the tourism sector. It also protects its membership from unfair competition and the informal economy within the tourism sector, among other things specified in Article 9 of the association's statute.
